BP1090 Couplers
Couplers for Microspeakers:
When testing microspeakers, the most effective way to get
the best out of your noise reduction software is to shield
your DUT from as much external sound and vibration as
possible. BaKo's BP1090 Couplers do exactly that. They're
compact: the BP1090 Coupler has an external diameter of
only about 10cm at the top so it'll fit almost
anywhere. They're convenient: with a custom jig, you can
quickly load, test and unload speakers, receivers or
earbuds. They tell you what you need to know: the internal
mic gathers data that can be compared with results from
an anechoic chamber or other couplers. Of course, you can
use them with other BaKo machines to test FRF, THD and
rub & buzz.
Larger Volume Couplers:
Ask us about the BP1090A. This coupler is bigger than
the BP1090 and designed to be more like an anechoic
chamber. While still easy to load and unload, the
BP1090A has an FRF curve
which more closely mimics that of an anechoic chamber
and for some DUT's it gives better results in THD and rub &
buzz testing.

Other Couplers:
If our couplers don't meet your needs, we'll design one
that does. The BP1090B, on the left, was designed as
a low volume coupler where THD and rub & buzz were
not important. The BP1090C (not shown) is our largest
coupler, which we designed to test speakers for the
new generation of flat TV's.
